Why we ask for your e-mail address

When you create a poll, DirectPoll asks for your e-mail address. Without it, we cannot provide you with the service. DirectPoll does not collect your name or require you to create an account with a password.

How we use your e-mail address

Your e-mail address is collected and processed solely for the purpose of providing the service. Specifically, it is used for:

• Authentication – confirming your identity alongside your poll identifier, so that only you can access your poll's cockpit link.
• Your poll’s links – sending you the vote, results and cockpit links, when you save a poll or ask for them again from its cockpit.
• An expiry notification – once, shortly before a poll you created is due to expire.
• A deletion confirmation – only after you ask to have your polls deleted, because that request must be confirmed from the address itself.
• A reply – if you write to us.

That is the complete list. We send no newsletters, no product announcements, no offers and no other reminders; there is no mailing list to be added to, and none to unsubscribe from, because we do not keep one. We do not use your address for marketing, and we do not sell, rent or share it with third parties for their own use.

If you buy a DirectPoll Supporter status and choose a name for your badge, that name is used for exactly one thing: drawing the badge. It is never used to address you and never shown anywhere else.

Your right to withdraw consent

You may withdraw your consent for us to use your e-mail address at any time by contacting us at info@directpoll.com. Please note that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide the service to you.
