DirectPoll offers several features that are particularly useful in educational settings.

Display the correct answer

After votes have been cast, reveal the correct answer to your students. The correct option is highlighted on the results screen so everyone can immediately see the right response.

Hide answers while polling

Prevent students from being influenced by live vote counts. While polling is active, the popularity of each answer stays hidden – only the answer options themselves are visible. Results are revealed when you advance to the next question.

Restrict your poll

Distribute tokens to control exactly who can vote. Each token allows exactly one vote per question, so every student gets one voice – regardless of what device they use.

How to mark the correct answer

DirectPoll can indicate the correct answer after votes have been cast.

Enable the setting – in the Settings section of each question, check "Mark the correct answer".
Select correct answers – check "Mark as correct" next to every correct answer. All checked answers will be highlighted after the question has been answered.
Run the poll – let students cast their votes. Correct answers are revealed automatically when you click "Next" (or "Pause") in the cockpit.

How to hide answers while polling

Sometimes seeing which answer is most popular biases undecided students. This feature keeps the vote distribution hidden while the poll is running.

Enable the setting – in the Settings section of each question, check "Hide answers while polling".
Run the poll – start the poll or click "Next" when already collecting votes. Students see all answer options on their phones, but the results screen does not reveal which answer is most popular. The answer with the most votes appears at the top of the results screen, but the answer text stays hidden.
Reveal the answers – click "Next" (or "Pause") in the cockpit. The answer texts appear immediately.
